Rotating the cows

Posted on October 19, 2018November 26, 2018 by Margaret Myers

We graze our cows intensively. This just means that we rotate the cows daily to a new little bit of pasture. This way, the parasite cycle is broken (the cows aren’t on the same pasture for about a month), the pasture gets to rest, and the cows get fresh grass every day. It’s a triple win. Plus – don’t tell our cows – but this method encourages the cows to eat all the grass, instead of just the areas they like most.

Here’s how we make the daily move.

We are devoted to sustainable, clean farming practices that protect the health of the environment, our customers, our animals, and ourselves.

We use traditional, nature-based farming practices, rejecting the industrialization of agriculture.

Animal welfare is a priority on our farm.
